Wow. Almost too much to see your website all at once. You don't know the half of it, concerning Felix. Yes, I am practically finished with my book on Felix and me. I was his fiancee for five years, and, because I left him in 1963, he went to the woman who took his life. In a big way, I feel responsible for that. My book is being re-worked now, and my agents feel it is most saleable. Of course it deals mostly with the two of us during the Michigan days, the cancelled wedding (three weeks before the date) and the three years together after that. There's a lot of music in it, because I was a music student along with him. Naturally, I'm not going to spill all of this on the website, but I would be most grateful for much publicity as it gets published. I would expect that would be toward the fall of 2001, the way publishers work. I also have photos of me and Felix at Michigan, and am in the process of trying to find one that I lost, of Felix conducting a practice session at the Gilbert & Sullivan Society. [Webmaster's note: Through some recent contacts we were able to help Julie locate that photo.] You will of course see all the photos when the book is published, and I would be happy to talk with you about Felix afterwards, but now I am so deeply involved in it and my personal feelings about him that I would prefer to wait until then, unless it's little stuff you want."
